Hemospec

A broader view at the point of care

Hemospec combines a compact sensor, a proprietary cartridge and a cloud-connected app
in one point-of-care system. Built on near-infrared spectroscopy and cloud-based analytical
models, it brings multi-parameter blood analysis into a portable format for everyday care.

Hb

Hemoglobin

Supports the assessment
of oxygen-carrying capacity
and helps identify signs of
anaemia and blood loss.

HCT

Hematocrit

Adds context to red cell volume andsupports interpretation in hydration, anaemia and perioperative settings.

RBC

RBC

Contributes to the evaluation of red blood cell profile and overall hematological status.

RDW

RDW

Helpsreveal variation in red blood cell size, supporting a more nuanced interpretation of anaemia-related patterns.

MCV

MCV

Adds morphological context to red blood cells, helping distinguish different haematological presentations.

CRP

C-Reactive Protein

Provides an important inflammatory signal that can support faster assessment in acute care, infection-related scenarios and antibiotic decision pathways.

Inside Hemospec

Hemospec combines optical sensing, cloud-based data models,
microfluidics and software in its architecture. The sensor
captures the signalThe analysis is processed in the cloud. The
app returns the result within a structured clinical workflow —
with history, export and operational control built in

01

Sensor

The Hemospec sensor is a compact near-infrared
spectrophotometer built for point-of-care use. Lightweight
and battery-powered, it is easy to move across different care settings
and works with connection through Bluetooth or USB.

02

Cartridge

Reagent-free, it is available in the H1000, H2000, H3000 and H4000 variants. It is designed for fresh capillary blood from the fingertip and for venous whole blood collected in K2-EDTA or lithium heparin tubes. The required sample volume is approximately 8 μL.Its construction combines HydroPLA with qualitative cellulose filter paper, in a single-use format intended for microfluidic collection and spectroscopic analysis.

03

App

The Hemospec app is available for Android, iOS and Windows. It connects to the sensor through Bluetooth or USB manages the system’s normal operating flow.
It covers more than result display. The app display’s the results, and also includes test execution, historical review, PDF export, user roles, permissions, device checks and operational settings. Analysis is processed in the cloud, so internet connection is part of normal use.
